Raia Termal will help improve the quality of the thermal waters

The collaboration between state, provincial and municipal administrations to enhance thermal border areas between Ourense and Portugal was formalized yesterday signed of a protocol in the resort Riocaldo (Lobios) to launch the project “A Raia Termal”.

As reported by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Environment, the objective of this project is the “environmental protection of natural and fluvial heritage linked to transboundary thermal resources.” To carry out an investment of two and a half million euros is expected to act on two thermal border areas located in the basins of the rivers Miño and Limia.

To value natural areas, promoting thermal tourism and generate economic activity in south Ourense and north Portugal in fields related to heritage, health and leisure is the ultimate goal of this project.
